Yanmar 1gm10 startup after head job

Startup after rebuilding cylinder head and changing the exhaust elbow. The engine would normally start after several minutes of running on the starter with full throttle. I found out that a small hole in the inner tube on the exhaust elbow would lead a small amount of water back into the cylinder head when the engine was stopped and that lead to a rusty exhaust valve.
