A Fontana record label says this recording was first published in 1964. I'm wondering why so long a time between the recording date and the publishing date?

Incase anyones wondering, Fats recored in 56' Richard in 58, Before them were Louis armstrong, Glenn Miller and i believe gene autry back in 41'. armstrong around 50'
