John Barry is as good a composer as any of the great masters you care to mention, in my opinion. R.I.P.

@bigdogbuc Hello there
Understand your concerns.. but this "karaoke version" was actually made by the great English Master himself, JOHN "schubert" BARRY.
It was included on an EXTENDED soundtrack release of 'Dances With Wolves'.
{Barry do remember had worked in this idiom some years before with Disco diva Donna Summer on His soundtrack to 'The Deep'}
'Dances With Wolves' is an awesome Film Score, and of course, your preferred version is on that CD and of course the film itself.
GOD BLESS YOU JB

Listening to it suddenly sparks a strong desire in me to watch this movie. Regrettable Costner was never able to re-produce a magic like this since.

This is one of four versions I've heard so far. This is my favorite. Am really a big fan of the harmonica. Blame that on Toots Thielemans, Lee Oscar and Stevie Wonder.

il corpo non è immortale ma la musica si,grazie john barry!!!!!!for ever............

What is this? The filipino karaoke version? Way to absolutely ruin a song by one the greatest modern composers ever.

For the purist the original soundtrack arrangement by John Barry is undoubtedly brilliant. However whoever is responsible for this arrangement I just love the panpipes and the percussions are just brilliant.
