There should be a clause in every marriage that specifically prepares for this scenario so no one has to get hurt. Something like this: "If David Tennant were to approach one's spouse in a grocery store and ask them out with intent to 'do the wrong thing', spouse has full consent to proceed consequence-free with the encounter." It's just good sense, really.
