WMG | Carmen Sandiego | I can't believe this!

I know I'm not the only one WMG has gone after in terms of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, but this is getting ridiculous! This was done on February 27th, and I am doing this to speak out how I feel about this. I again give credit to therealweeklynews for his logo and all, as I again mention his video Viacom vs. You, as I used to think Viacom was the bigger picture, but now WMG is making even BIGGER issues in my view.

*Watch for my annotation. I mismarked something that wasn't marked by WMG, but by another group I almost thought was WMG. I got confused. And by the way, like therealweeklynews on his videos, I request that you rate, comment, and share this video to help get this info around.*

This is gonna sound blasphemous, but here I go...

If the ending theme is what gets WMG so riled up, why not just cut the video off at "Do it Rockapella!"? I know, it would suck not to hear the theme, but at least then WMG won't cry about it.

@mattman2900 I just think that it's taken a bit far when the artists themselves cannot grant permission to use their own songs because of their label, or for instance how Disney is still raking in millions from copyrights that were made by someone who is long dead.

@GreenRanger1337 My buddy Juniorfan90 (when he was Juniorfan89) did a great rant about how WMG is a bunch of money-grubbing assholes. (supersmithnetwork has re-uploaded the video for your viewing pleasure, BTW)

And I still don't think WMG has the rights to Rockapella's music... "We've got to have... MONEEEY!"

Copyrights suck, but they are there for a reason. I'm not siding with WGM or you. I'm just taking both sides into account. Unfortunately just because a video credits the artist does not mean they are free and clear of copyright infringement. I've had quite a bit of success with just emailing people/labels and saying "Hey I want to use___song for this video and here's what its for" I've gotten quite a few no's or sure it will be $__, but I've gotten a few yes' too and for free.
