Title: Development of a Brain-Computer Interface System to control a Wifibot 4G and a video camera.
The objective of this project was to develop a real-time Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) system to control a WiFiBoT 4G robot and a connected video camera SparkLAN CAS-370. A general purpose program for research and development these kind of systems called BCI2000 was used.
BCI systems acquire the electroencephalogram (EEG) signal using electrodes placed on the scalp of a subject, translating their intentions into control commands for a device. To make it possible, the EEG signal must be mainly processed in two stages: feature extraction and feature classification. The development of BCI systems is geared towards addressing the needs of people with severe disabilities and to enhancing the quality of services provided by their caregivers.
Firstly, in the video appears the BCI equipment used. Then, the process needed to configure BCI2000 is showed. Finally, some tests using the final GUI (Graphic User Interface) to control the robot and the camera are presented.
