Besides that...it looks to be an almost exact copy of the Embraer 170/190 line...which started flying 8 years ago...and have much higher takeoff weight, better performance, and...strangely enough...almost the exact same specifications. Amazing that the Russians copied it so well...

If a 78 seat regional jet has been described as "the most important and successful civil aircraft program of the Russian aerospace industry" (by Russia & CIS Observer, Volume 2, Issue 25, 20 June 2009), then I'm going to call bullshit on Russia being a "leader in aerospace industry", even if it was in a Russia that fell to crap 20 years ago.

russian aircrafts were ever and are very good, high rate fly/accident...the problem is in the field maintenance crews of the ex-communist area..but now the things are going better,,,
