How to jailbreak iPod Touch/iPhone firmware 3.1.3

I am jailbreaking a firmware 3.1.3 iPod Touch (1st generation). I am using Windows Vista.

This tutorial is compatible with:
iPod Touch (1st gen.)
iPod Touch (2nd gen.)
iPhone (1st gen.)
iPhone (2nd gen.)

DO NOT try this on any other models, this will not work on ANY devices with the MC serial number, this includes the 3GS, 3G iPod Touch, and newer 2G iPod Touches. Some iPods have a serial starting with a P. This will work with PA and PB serials, NOT PC.

If you have a 1st Generation iPod Touch, or iPhone that does not have the MC serial number, you will need to use RedSn0w 0.9.2. If you have the 2nd Generation iPod Touch, you will need RedSn0w 0.9.4. I only tested with 0.9.2, I would recommend downloading both of them and seeing which one works for you.
