Constanta Litoral,

Travel Romania, Tourist, Rumänien Schwarzmeer Reisen, Black Sea Riviera http://www.timpul.de/romania/ Constanţa (pronunciation in Romanian: /kon'stan.ʦa/; historical names: Tomis, Greek: Κωνστάντια or Constantia, Turkish: Köstence, Bulgarian: Кюстенджа) is the oldest living city from Romania. Situated at the crossroads of several commercial routes, Constanta lies on the western coast of the Black Sea, 185 miles from the Bosphorus Strait. An ancient metropolis and Romania's largest sea port, Constanta traces its history some 2,500 years. Originally called Tomis, legend has it that Jason landed here with the Argonauts after finding the Golden Fleece.

The second largest city in Romania, Constanta is now an important cultural and economic center, worth exploring for its archaeological treasures and the atmosphere of the old town center. Its historical monuments, ancient ruins, grand Casino, museums and shops, and proximity to beach resorts make it the focal point of Black Sea coast tourism. Open-air restaurants, nightclubs and cabarets offer a wide variety of entertainment. While in the area, you can visit traditional villages, vineyards, ancient monuments and the Danube Delta, a bird-lover's paradise.

Constanta is more than just the entry point to the Black Sea coast. It is a place with a long and interesting past, attested by its many Roman vestiges, historic buildings, facades and mosques that color the Old City Center.

  • @Jammanich Well you know that the government can do a lot of things to take away the algae's......but you know

Romania is pretty poor and money doesn't always comes to the right owner......

  • Congratulation for work and information!

  • @Wardstone99p I agree the smell is very natural. You enter Mamaia and you can smell that.

WHo said I want to holiday all year long? Going to the theater, modern art galleries ror to a nice movie theater where people don't talk on the phone loudly would be nice too. And is there other restaurants than Italien?

I know I can't change Romania because Romania doesn't want change.

  • @Jammanich Be seriuos man,Black Sea is a NATURAL sea,is not an artficial pond made for spoiled tourists.Algae are at home let them live, they are like grass in the field, they support life, they ARE life and nature.

And what dou you want, holyday all year long?impossible my friend.Out season Constanta becomes a normal big city it's true but you still have lot of fun in the summer!

  • @Wardstone99p I know that I live here. You should see it when the tourist season ends. BORING

Even now the black see is full of algae and it smells

  • @Jammanich Mamaia is part of CONSTANTA city, the turistic side of it with hotels, restaurants etc.But the video shows also other great and interesting sides of the city. It's a beautiful active city and we all Romanians should visit it and take care of it.
