hey man, my name is david, i have an s10 that i plan on lowering, i was just curious, what did you end up spending by the end of his video? email me with info please, insanesman@aol.com
I'm thinking about doing same thing 5/6 drop. What size tires where on your stock rims when you first put the 5/6 on it. Can you please let me know boardgeye@yahoo.com.
@savestheeday I could of just notched the frame (already bought the c-notches) and just rolled the front fenders, but I was ready for it to be a little higher. My turning radius was cut in half and I had to avoid the interstate. Not to mention the pinion angle of my driveshaft was off.even with the highest pinion wedges I could find, I had to replace the ujoints twice. I used to deliver Pizzas with my truck sitting 5/6.the very first time I went down a driveway I got stuck for 45 minutes! lol
i literally JUST got done lifting my s10 up a couple inches. I had 3-inch drop springs with 2-inch blocks in the rear. 3-inch springs with 2-inch spindles in the front.
My truck was AWESOME when I first lowered it. I could take turns like a bat out of hell, it was incredible. Unfortunately after a couple years the springs and shocks began to settle and I was experiencing major wheel scrubbing in the front and I was bottoming out constantly in the rear...
@wideopenthrottle666 blocks go on top of the leaf springs and the axle rests on them. The blocks push the axle up closer to the body which gives it the appearance of being lower. Simple really. U still have a suspension its just stiffer. Very little bounce.
UHHH ..How is this a tutorial?
