A speedpainting of The Nostalgia Critic (thatguywiththeglasses.com) done in Photoshop CS5 with my trusty old and battered Graphire 4.

The full tutorial for this picture will feature in my upcoming DVD, Photorealism Vol 2. It shows how to speedpaint without needing an accurate sketch, and how to apply different colour and lighting themes to your final image. The DVD will be beginner friendly and feature full commentary and realtime footage.

Meanwhile you can visit my site for more tutorials and vids at www.devotion-graphics.com

  • Nicely done! great job Daniel.

I'm wondering.. is it possible to purchase the DVD's in my country? What's the shipping cost? :) Regards from Poland!

  • @FedusioDesigns Thanks mate, I appreciate it! Your Audi painting is a real masterpiece btw.

Yes the DVD is available from my site as a hard copy (free shipping) or as a download, just as long as you can use paypal. Or you can buy it from lulu(dot)com, Amazon co.uk as a hard copy, but they charge more and add postage. Hope that helps. Keep up the great work!

  • I've been a fan of the Nostalgia Critic for a long while now and I stumbled upon your video because Calvin Hollywood (which is one of my favorite German digital artists) posted it on facebook.
