Carly Smithson is singing for a new band formed by some of the ex-Evanescence members, called We Are The Fallen. They are not Evanescence.

Amy has confirmed that Ev is still alive and is writing new music, it's on their official site.

Ben moody is an awesome musican and was one of the writer for the Falling album, Ben Moody wrote the all so loved song my immortal. i don´t say i dont like evanescence, i love Evanescence and still do but i just think everyone should stop fighting and give it a rest. its was a long time ago so i think everyone should leave it. and enjoy the music.

3 of ex Evanescence members are in that band. Ben Moody wrote much for evanescence from Lyrics up to the Music itself. so don´t wonder if its sounds a little bit femilar. (even through i don´t think so, its the same like when i would say Whithin temtation sounds like Evanescence, Witch i don´t think either) so i think everyone should just shut up and let both of the bands do their thing and enjoy the music.

@ThatFatPlumber Well I personally very strongly disagree with that. It's is clear that Amy Lee does not just write lyrics, she writes the music too. She is the principal pianist for Evanescence now - where do you think they get their melodies? Amy Lee writes them of course. And check out the Cartoon Network Song by Amy Lee, she wrote that one on the guitar! :P

My opinion is that Amy Lee was and always will be the talent behind the Evanescence project. John and Rocky were just doing instruments and Ben Moody was going along for the ride!

They dont want to be Evanescence they've got more origional members than Evanescence anyway so in actual fact there more Evanescence than Evanescence itself.
