Doha is the capital city of Qatar. With a population of 400,051 according to the 2005 census, it is located in the Ad Dawhah municipality on the Persian Gulf. Doha is Qatar's largest city, with over 80% of the nation's population residing in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and is also the economic center of the country. Doha is home to the Education City, an area devoted to research and education. Doha was the site of the first ministerial-level meeting of the Doha Development Round of World Trade Organization negotiations. The city of Doha also held the 2006 Asian Games, which was the world's largest Asian Games held.

  • @oct1984 "what you have is chaos ,killing, wars, brutality, corruption and prostitution." Qatar hasn't been involved in any war for the last hundreds of years. The US? A long lasting, brutal war, for the last decade. Killing? Qatar has some of the lowest crime rates in the world according to the UN, and NationMaster. The US? The highest in the world. With South Africa and Colombia. Seems like Arabs are less likely to kill one another while Americans are doing it every day.

  • Every time I try to learn a little bit more about these countries in the world that aren't as well known there's an american who comes just to spring negativity and hate.

And then they complain about being called racists.

  • @CreepyLizard first of all you need to go back in time and see how america was founded:)

The history does not lie my dear friend.

Rasul Allah, may light of Allah bring you peace and love:)

  • @CreepyLizard I Agree on everything. The thing is America is a "melting pot" so many different religins, cultures, races, it causes a little friction. While Qatar is mostly Arab. And not so much friction.

  • i love cars in qatar my friend is funny walking in pavement see it jeep.flv

  • @maxweston1 <3

  • @CreepyLizard Qatar is the wealthiest nation per capita on earth, USA is up there, its like the sixth BUT USA is the 3rd most populous nation on earth, Qatars a small sector for the rish like Luxembourg.

Dont compare the 2, if Qatar disapeared the world community wouldnt notice [yet when US citizens cant pay their homes a global financial crisis occures].

You cant say all Arabs are peacefull :P

  • i'm english, i'm here right now, it's a beautiful atmosphere, all the people are lovely, i'm here to see my dad, he's been working here for a while now, and it's the first time i've ever been... and i love it! there's no crime here what-so-ever! you could leave a laptop on your doorstep, and walk inside for half an hour, come back out, it will still be there. (i've done it...accidentally..)
