Most cars referred to as "Gassers" were indeed straight-axled, but there were some IFS cars that ran in the Gas classes in the 60's.

Nice Old School Drag Car.....I have seen your cars around town thru the years.
Keep up the good work

A gasser is only a car that could have run in the gasser class in the 60's, such as an austins, willys, henry js and anglias. There's no such thing as a IFS gasser but some straight axled cars that arent the ones I listed could be called a gasser. Trust me gassers are big in the north east. We have a car club called the gasser gang of western new york made up of only gassers.
looks good, My wife and I were thinking we should have kept it. Looks Awesome. Les

well i classify a gasser as any old drag car that WAS a drag car back in the old days straight axle or not. i could be wrong i guess it depends on each persons beliefs. this was a drag car back in the 60s so i consider it a gasser.
