This is me and Ginger at the Irving shelter pulling Baxter and Naomi. I hope you like the music added into everything. Eh, I threw it together quick. Look at all of these beautiful dogs! Please stop breeding! The brown dog in the pictures is Naomi. She will soon be adoptable through They Are All God's Creatures Pit Bull Rescue out of Lipan Texas.
Update 2/20/09:
Floyd was reclaimed by owner!
Ashley the spaniel was euthanized
Duke was euthanized
Pete was euthanized
MITCH :the blue pit in the cage with the brindle and he has a broken leg -- euthanized along with maggie his companion.
Winston showed dog agression and was euthanized
Penny--euthanized
Hank--euthanized
Weston--euthanized
The 7 year old german shepherd was rescued...
The 2 little puppies in the big pen next to Penny were adopted.

Wonderful of you to show all these great dogs that so need loving homes. They have so much joy to add to a family. Same thing here in Tampa, cross the whole country. So many wonderful dogs need homes, Hope more people open thier hearts and homes to shelter dogs.

Blessings to you all who give your hearts working in these shelters, I know you must suffer daily in the hopes that you can save one life. You are appreciated more than you will ever know, and while the babies can's speak their love to you, I know they must show it in their eyes!

I`m like you I wish we could save them all, like I said thank you for what your doing to save the ones you can,,, Please all spay and neuter your pets, I think if people was made to go to a shelter and work and see the cruelty in it`s self, I think more would see and understand, but I could be wrong,
I remember Captain, Layla and Max (the German Shepherd) so very well. And poor Baxter. I really miss him, and I'll always be grateful that you gave him a fighting chance.
If you know of any Pit Bull Rescues that have room, please have them check out some of the dogs at the shelter now - it's far too crowded, and the dogs at risk are far too good to let go without an effort.
BTW... We fostered our (now officially adopted) dog Rufus about 4 days before you guys came in for Baxter and Ginger.

Baxter was a really hard case to handle. I thought we had saved him only to find out that he couldn't be saved. I cried for weeks. It killed me that we couldn't save Pete from being killed. He had given up. You can see it in this video. The good news is that Dexter and Naomi were adopted together and Margo got a great home too. Trish got a great home too.

Margo has a home lined up but Tyler and Corina have until the close of business tomorrow or they go down wednesday morning.

I am pulling Dexter. Um... there were some adoptions and owner reclaims. George and Gracie were supposed to be reclaimed but the owner only got George because he couldn't afford both. So sad.

Mitch, Maggie, Penny, Lady, Hank, Weston, and Pete all who were featured in this video were euthanized in the shelter! Tyler, Margo, and Corina are next!

Thank you. We do as much as we possibly can to save them but unfortunately we can't save them all. If more people would spay and neuter their pets there wouldn't be such a huge problem.
