Wow, brought tears to my eyes. I was a groom for standardbred trainers five years ago and I miss the horses every single day. The breed is amazing and I'm convinced there's nothing they cannot do. Moni Maker and Julie Krone are just awesome!!

I love how the horses around her are running so fast and she's just trotting.

standardbreds are smooth when you get them to their fast buggy trot. put lots better when they cross over to a pace..lol

ok im sorry guys but i never watch trotting i know who greyhound was but why was this trotter under saddle and the other two werent trotting or under saddle like moni maker was? im glad she broke the record though good for her she beat a geldings record.

Moni Maker was trying to break a record for trotting under saddle. The other two horses are 'prompters', giving her horses to race against. They were hitched to sulkies so Moni Maker would be comfortable. They were being held back so they did not trip the timers so they did not have to trot.
