We watched Sony launch and get tossed around pretty bad. Then we watched Orion get more of the same and almost not make the beach. It was blowing down in at the beach at around 25 mph. Maybe more. Sony called in and gave us a sincere warning. You could tell he had NO FUN during his 10 minute sled.

I looked at Alex, and he looked at me. Who needs that kind of heartache for a 10 minute sled? We opted "not to fly" and toasted the occasion. Jim broke down. Later, Joey, Max and Mike I. launched. Winds had calmed down a bit, but still no thermal love.
