Lots of people say that music is dead these days. That's not true, there are plenty of great bands out there, you just have to look a little to find them. Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, Phish, Joe Bonamassa, John Frusciante, Wilco, System of a down, the orb, pat metheny... It's just the pop music that sucks. I'm not an electronica hater, I like the less in-your-face, more chill stuff, but I can't stand modern electro-pop.

I hate people like you that think since they listen to progressive music or music that isn't necessarily as popular as pop music they feel like they have a better taste in music than others, and brag about hating pop music. like seriously, music is objective, so technically The Mars Volta is just as good as Justin Bieber, there's no possible way of telling who's better because its all opinion. and once you get out of high school you'll realize that
