They made the comment in this video that as George got older he got better and better, and they are absolutely correct!! If you play a few songs from each decade in order his style just gets more and more perfected... I think he reached his vocal peak in the late 1990's. I have heard that in around 2001-2002 Jones tore his vocal chord and was advised to take a break for a while and he refused- that is why his voice is now whsiper like and cracked- but he is STILL the KING

There will never be country singers like there were in the old days. We can blame corperate America. I hate to point out that Jewish perducers have no place in country music.
