We have to remember that hitler was just one man, one man could have never donde all those things, the people put him in that place, if he was mad then so was the german people and if the germans were mad you have to ask yourslef, what made them be mad? what forces drove them to create something like Hitler? Hitler was like a tsunami of deadly destruction and you have to wonder where was the epicenter? what forces created it.

My grandmother grew up in Alabama and her family later migrated to Kentucky. She can remember a white policeman in Birmingham beating a black man on the sidewalk with a billy club for sitting in a seat at the front end of a bus. Blacks were forbidden from using inside toilets and often had to use an outhouse in the back of a building. Blacks were not allowed to use the front door in most buildings and homes. It is easy to vilify another leader of another country.

In the US, which Hitler often criticized, slavery had been abolished less than 100 years before, many forms of segregation now illegal were still common practice. Blacks were forbidden from using public toilets and not allowed in certain restaurants. In movie theaters blacks had to sit in the balcony known as Nigger Heaven. In country clubs Jews were forbidden membership. That wasn't Nazi Germany, that was America, land of the free.

When we look at Nazi Germany and even Hitler in the context of today's leaders and today's way of life it is easy to see how monstrous both Hitler and the Nazis were. However look at how he compared to other leaders. FDR did nothing about the Jim Crow Laws and the lynchings of blacks in the South. The American Indian tribes had fallen victim to genocide. Japanese Americans were interred in camps. Chain gangs in prisons and jails were common for men who had no means of income.

It is amazing how such monstrous people could come from such a beautiful part of the world. You can see where Hitler was raised, where he ruled, where he vacationed, all among some of the most beautiful parts and exclusive areas of the Earth. As for the camps, Americans had camps for the Japanese, Native Americans, and illegal aliens. The gas chamber was a legal method of execution for criminals in most states in the US.
