I love EDM, but you're SO right... as a DJ and a musician I've joined the recent movement-- trying to bring the live element back to dance music. Called Jamtronica in some places...

those were the days when music was made by real "musicians"...today it's all pre-packaged, 'over-sampled', 'over-sequenced', 'over-synthesized', 'drum-machine-ized' and usually sounds tastelessly crap. so sad!

This is what i miss the most with music nowadays...the groove!!! there aren't any groove at all, just binary music so you jump on your feet and that's it...if you listen the bass set with the congas, violins between 6"10 and the final with saxo at 8"30...this it my friends pure songs groovy quality and classy.....who can do that today?????

And I was 14 then too, dreamliner61!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the music was so sweet and sweaty that we missed school one day - dancing Cerone, Magaret Singana and Donna Summer. Happy to see them all here. Love!

dit was de eerste plaat die ik kocht met tieten op, wees gerust het was niet daarvoor. Marc Cerrone is eigenlijk één van de muzikanten die mij in het beroep van deejay dreven. en een hint voor de jongeren, nu kan iedereen mixen....
toen 100 op gans de wereld , en ik was er één van.... '77 lenco's en met een vijl de 33/'45/78 platgeveild om te pitchen. "dat was pas deejay zijn", oprecht gerespecteerd en veel beter betaald als nu...
