perhaps Mallard will return in 2013 for the 75th anniversary of world record run, you never know.

Its some thing alot of people would like to see happen. But while Flying Scotsman is in the NRM works, its unlikely, and then there is the other 3 operational and NRM will say something why do we want 4 A4s on the Mainline. I admit though, its something I would like to see.

i loved the video...it proves the 4 a4s in britain shall never stop running. oh and whts with the song. it should ne like 'dont stop me now'.....not a song with the words 'we nearly made it'. the A4s have made it

Yes, I can agree with that. I think it was Sir Ralph that was on my mind when I made the decision. Sort of 'some made it, some didn't, together they almost did'. But yeah, there should be a more upbeat and positive tribute.
