Emmett Chapman playing his arrangement of the theme from Titanic, "My Heart Will Go On".
at the Interochen Center for the Arts's Guitar Festival and Workshop, August 20, 2009.
Music by James Horner, lyrics by Will Jennings, and production by Walter Afanasieff, originally recorded by Céline Dion.
Haha he was 73 when this was recorded for christs sake. Maybe when you guys are 73-year-olds, who made a fortune inventing a groundbreaking new instrument (of which there are now real virtuoso players) and still performing at workshops, you won't make any mistakes in your arrangements.

I notice many people listing a great number of mistakes.... I'm noticing these "mistakes" and all I can say is... he probably did most of them on purpose.... Hence "Emmett Chapman playing his arrangement of the theme" in the description....

@ZachValkyrie at 6 seconds in the melody, 41 seconds in the bass (one of the notes of the chord didn't come out), 1:10, those triplets are each cut short, 1:31 in the melody, 2:30 buzzed and clipped in the melody. Those are all the mistakes I noticed in one listen-through. Just saying.

I can't do better, but I do think this version is a bit sloppy. There are far better videos of Emmett Chapman playing his instrument.

@ConceptOfAHuman Can you post a clip of you doing better?

Is it just me or does Chapman's playing sound sloppy and clipped?

Partly excellent technic and playing but then again, Emmett seems to fall off the rhythm and looses control here and there - 3***
