KX80 Rebuild

This is the rebuild of my 1993 KX80, i pretty well went all out with this one..
Replaced the STD piston with a vertex racing piston and rings, new FMF fatty gold
series power pipe, new FMF powercore 2 silencer, new Boy-son pro carbonfiber reeds, Fox/Lethal threat Sticker kit, Metallic car paint..
not much left on the bike that is not either aftermarket or restored..Still waiting on the v-force 3 reed block

if u buy a fmf fatty pipe, and a fmf powercore....... how do they go 2gether? do u weld them? i don't think so, or do they have 1 pipe go into the other????????????? comment quick!!!!!!!!

The power pipe slides into the silencer underneath

the plastic guard and is held together by a heat resistant rubber flange.

i have to do a top end in my kx80 and i was wondering is a vertex piston good? that what i ordered is it a good piston does it have 1 ring or 2 rings?

ok i have 2 things, 1 this vid is sick! and 2 i hate any retard that paints dirtbike plastics! if you want new ones you should go out and buy them yourself

@bobo18342 Try the cheap and obvious fixes first, try cleaning out the jets in the carb, especially the idle running jet, take it out and clean it with a strand of brake cable wire.

@1988TS185 hey i have a kx 80 1984 or 83 but anyway my friend gave it to me and he said if i can fix it i can keep it…….but it bogs out when u hit the gas my brother said i need new piston and rings what do u think?????????????
