Kende het woord weltschmerz en de term human condition nog niet. Maar hoorde die al wel in zijn stem. De stem van diepe droefheid en tegelijkertijd van onmetelijke schoonheid.
I heard this yesterday night at a pub down in Killmeadon, Ireland. It just...I don't know, called to me. They song it pretty well, but nothing could have prepared me for this.

Gene Clark is very expressive, he's not just singing this song, he really was portraying the character of a dying coal miner.
