@nathansthebest because the HDMI covers for both audio and video, and the inputs on most TVs don't have an HDMI slot and standard slots on the same channel

I easily took the plastic thingy of the av adapter for the newest xbox, does not affect cable at all and works great for hdmi and turtle beach.

why dont you just put the white into the white tv slot at the back and the red into the red ?? whats the point you can simply hook it up by putting the headphone red and white cables into the tv !! i really dont understand why people do it this way what is the point seriously ?
