Long island is ghetto as fuck in most parts.(i know because i lived there) most suburbs like long island (suffolk county or some parts of nassau) is for ppl who cant afford the cities. i was born in queens n lived there but couldnt afford it then moved to ronkonkoma in suffolk n it look almost identical to queens.
