A short video of my Golf AHU Tdi engine with an oilly mess leaking over the front bottom of the block and the sump. Now cleaned and inspecking shows there is a crack on the flange and this is where the oil could be leaking from. I also did up the bolts holding on the sump most took half a turn so this might also be the problem.

  • @weazlechin Sure is a crap bit of plastic, seems that the engine before and engine after both dont have this bottom breather. the solution is a blanking plate from a Mk2 1.8 petrol engine see 'Show more' for a link to the solution. Cost me £18 in parts but the job is done and will neve leak again. Thanks for the comment

  • its a pathetic design that breather. cheap plastic junk (£25 form vw) robbing dogs
