  • Did you paint it with flat paint first? I heard that if you paint it with gloss and clear coat it, it will crack the finish, so i was curious. If i used clear could I sand it down or something before the clear?

  • @mudshovel508 hi! we used a grey primer, then black paint, then airbrush and in the end severall layers of clear coat that was wet-sanded down before each new layer. hope that helps

  • I appreciate the effort, but man... it looks awful.

  • ew...

  • looks awsome

  • Awesome finish man!!! I love it.

  • I am actually considering buying a P-bass body, J-bass neck, custom finishing them, and salvaging parts from my existing P-bass (not that what's on here now is Fender parts, except the tuning pegs) and creating a one-off. I wonder how much that would cost me :P

  • @mudshovel508 I know you weren't asking me, but gun paint isn't like can paint, it all dries flat. You get gloss by using gloss clear coats.

  • Nice dude! Check out my custom build video

  • @somaAndi Sounds like fun!
