This was my first car ever. I got it when i was 16/17 years old, paid for it myself. The technology was amazing for its time, its hard to find new cars even now with all of these features. I Absolutely loved it...and then on the day before thanksgiving, on the way home from work, a deer stepped out onto the road, and i hit it before i even had the chance to slow down. The car went downhill from there. Being a highschool student at the time i couldn't afford to get it repaired.

I am restoring a 1988 Toronado for my first car. and right now my dash won't come on, same with the interior lights . sometimes they will come on though, like when I open the door and the interior lights come on, the dash will too, but it will go out after like 2 to 10 minutes! If anyone can help me with this PLEASE reply! Thank You.

Oh yeah... And a FE 3 suspension... Yes, the very same suspension modeled off of the FE 4 Camaro's suspension... Sweet, right??

Very nice car to say the least. These Toro's were before their time. I owned a 87 -trofeo-fe3 which is the same as the 88. Then I went to a 90 but I liked the 87 better for the handling. Big car ride with sport car handling and the digital gauges were terrific. I hope you held onto this one. I will be looking for one again soon. I am now into the Mach I Mustangs. Making the rounds.

@365degrees I sold this Toronado long ago. And that's funny that you are looking for a Mach 1 - I had a 1969 Mach I with a 351 Cleveland engine....was a cool car that was! And FAST!! I had a 4 on the floor, I think. Had that car from 1973 to 74.
