from what i know the ages vary between 24 and 30. with the odd 20/23 year old. I believe the selectors do look for life experience.

Im not in the army or anything but there was a thing on tv showing some of the guys trying out to get into the SASR and most were in their 30s, i think one of them was 39 but thats if my memory is right so don't quote me on it
