She's not a good example of what a country singer should be. Like many other singers EmmyLou Harris sold out and left country music years ago and has yet to come back.
She didn't start out as a country singer anyway, when she first came out in the late 60's and for most of the 70's she sang folk music, not country.
Most of her current fans wouldn't know country music from a hole in the ground.
Country radio died the day they stopped playing guys like George Jones & Merle Haggard.
