But how accurately can you pick up on your work piece? And how accurately can you machine your trodes? That is an awesome machine though.

During IMTS 2008 we displayed the EDAC1 with an electronic, high accuracy indicator. On the show floor, with no thermal guarding on the machine, we picked up the indicator, set zero, then went through a series of multiple axis movements and tool changes, returning to the preset zero position after these movements. The greatest deviation we saw during the entire week of the show was 0.000017”.
