STAX Museum

In a city full of history, Soulsville USA is the only museum dedicated to soul music on the planet. Where else can you peek inside Isaac Hayes gold-plated Cadillac or see the studio where Otis Redding recorded These Arms of Mine.

Founded in 2003, The Stax Museum on McLemore Avenue at College Street in Memphis, is a replica of the original Stax studio and is built on the same site where many of the historic Stax recording sessions took place. The heritage and rich culture of Memphis has its roots in music, The Stax Museum celebrates and preserves these roots.
