Their fooling themselves. The Afghan army is a joke. The majority who are loyal can't barely fight and hopped up on hashish (drugs). Soldiers that show potential or have skills always switch sides to the Taliban. The Taliban pay better and unlike the Karzai warlord government they are seen as not corrupt. Some people call the Afghan army the Hashish army.
The U.S. and NATO will certainly have to do most of the fighting

The former Soviet Union General Victor Yermakov said today "US never wins this war" he knows better than others... Afghan war led to the collapse of Soviet Union, so it is US turn now taste the same fate. Cheers.
