This was our first time harvesting & cooking shaggy manes, & they were delicious, with a very distinct wild mushroom flavor. It was very good added to a creamy pasta sauce with veggies & chicken. I think we'll try to make a soup next, the flavor suggests they would be an excellent base for a cream of mushroom soup.
