haw can that be an american record when the world record holder was american. shouldnt he have also broken the world record and the world record was under 1 minit.

if this is metres, i thought the American record was 59.13 ?? that used to be the World record until Kosuke Kitijma broke the WR with a 58.91

I knew Mr. Ed Moses years ago before the swimming hoopla. I helped in training him (lol) at a golf course in Burke in probably 1994. I helped him install a car stereo in his car around then with good speakers and equipment, and I remember, he wanted to play the "police" really loud and loved it....really nice cool guy, but I was honestly surprised, and like WTF when I heard about his olympic success...I wish him well however and haven't talked to him since his highschool days
