In 1972 Hunter S. Thompson was sent to the Nevada desert on assignment with his pal Oscar Acosta. What came out of that trip eventually led to the publishing of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, A Savage Journey to the Heart of the American Dream. He was also sent to Saigon as a war correspondent. On the 30th anniversary of the end to the war in Vietnam, Karl King and Dick Madison picked up the torch and took Gonzo Journalism to Indochina. On the last day of their journey Thompson took his own life within the confines of his fortified compound.

It's always a terrible and of invaders in VN!US was defeated because they ditn't undertand the culture and history of VN! Before US, China were many times defeated in VN land, after invading china and europe the mongols were 3 times defeated and france in 1954 in Dienbienphu....SO VN land is always a death land for invaders
