Black Metal band formed in 1989 by It ( Abruptum, War, Vondur )

This is a version of re-recorded version of the debut

Lyrics :

(whisper) I am the face and blood of knowledge
(whisper) I am the pure heart of wisdom

I smell the night sing its sleeping ancient lullaby
and the non-existing star horizon burnt its candle
Find the dark in my eyes
I'm not and I'm all
I'm the end of the beginning

(whisper) What do my eyes hide ?

I hear the winter breathe and spread his message of cold
and the clouds change their eyes and forget the time
I feel the skin of the trees listen and walk away
and the moon dreams and I hear its eternal call
I taste the depths of the sea in my eyes and fly
and the lips of dust play its song forevermore
I sea the colours of the world disappear in the mist
and the bright tear of my smell fear the morning

Ophthalamia is a fantasy-world created by IT. The Goddess of this world is the woman with the demons, called Elishia. IT has also created the surroundings of Ophthalamia (I guess that the shores of Kaa-Ta-Nu are a part of this world, as the sea of Ragiih-Nib and the moutains of Makubu-Keen are), the land's creatures and a language for Ophthalamians... All songs of Ophthalamia are connected to stories about this fantasy-world. Ophthalamia first started in 1989. The first leadvocalist was All, but he moved and was replaced by Shadow (on "A Journey In Darkness"). Then Shadow was replaced by Legion on "Via Dolorosa" and since Legion has now left for the Black Metal band Marduk, All is back in Ophthalamia. Axa is the girlfriend of IT and has composed the last track of Dissection's album "Storm Of The Light's Bane."

There is a promotional demo prior the "A Long Journey" Unreleased MLP, called "The Eternal Walk", it included only one song (the same of the demo title) and it was later included on the "To Elishia" CD but without it's outro. This promo demo was sent around by It when he was promoting the Abruptum's demos
