WOLF BLITZER: [about Obama] Hes says hes only going to raise taxes on families making more than $250,000 a year, most small businesses, they dont make a profit of more than $250,000, do they?
NICOLLE WALLACE: Ha ha. Well families- that is a very small parsing of Barack Obamas tax increase strategy. Barack Obama would tax about 50% of the small business income in America. And again, it isnt a matter of what kind of tax increase small businesses can stomach, small businesses in America shouldnt have to take on any Burdens to growth. [] I would say, zero tolerance policy for any of Barack Obamas tax increases on Americas small businesses.
Senator McCain said a few months ago he was not going to get down and have a negative campaign, yet in the last few days weve heard some very negative comments coming from him and from Governor Palin. Why the change?
WALLACE: Im not sure what youre referring to, but you know Barack Obama has spent a record number of dollars attacking John McCain with ads that are usually not even truthful. [] So were going to respond, were going to set the record straight. Unfortunately its something we have to do more often, Wolf.
BLITZER: When is governor Palin going to have a full scale, formal news conference?
WALLACE: When is she going to do what?
BLITZER: Have a news coference.
WALLACE: Have a news conference? You know her priority is talking to the American people, talking to the voters, and she spent more minutes being interviewed by journalists that Barack Obama has this month[]
BLITZER: Well, wed love to have an interview with governor Palin. But wed also love to see her at a news conference answering reporters questions.
