A nice supprise this afternoon, I some times check in the Southern Cross DX net in the afternoon on 20 meters and today I tried and made QRP (6 watts peak) contacts with S61ZZ and KB3NXT.
After initial testing I decided to use the field telephone as the input.
I was suprised to get a 59+ report from Slovenia, things must be running ok with the VRC-321 and the 85 meter long end fed wire with 6 watts.
Thanks for watching and don't forget to rate

  • Where did you purchase this rig? I had a prc320, but the vendor in the UK did not fully test it, and the bandswitch was bad. I would like to get one of these.

  • @DisabilityFraudKJW Standby, I'll get you a number the guy I get all my stuff from has moved.

    I'll get back to you

  • Just curious and unless ive missed it, what Aeriel set up do you use for this?

  • @theonewhoismatt It was an endfed wire with quite a few 1/4 wave long radials.

  • Hi again Mark, Liked the video clip....noticed the meter did not move on transmit was there a reason for that ?? Jim tylee g4rek jimtylee@yahoo.co.uk

  • @jimtylee I'm not 100% sure Jim, It drops to the left on TX, I'm suspecting it perhaps hit the center on high power..

I'm still waiting on a tidy 50amp supply.

Its the opposite on the 320, its goes over on TX but nothing on recieve.
