@marakia78 Hi, Thanks - yes, I know all about that, I just meant that they should have had the explanation in the movie, don't you think? :D As it was I had to explain to my husband that no, Snape was not actually royalty, whatever I thought about him. ;)

@MrPhilipz007 Half blood is his blood status and Prince is his mother's maiden name. That's why he named himself " The Half Blood Prince" :)

I actually think the reveal of who the HBP is was one of the most disappointing aspects of the film. We don't learn how he gave himself the nickname, we learn nothing of his parentage, he just looks down at Harry and says it. And I think those of us who love both the books and Alan's portrayal of Snape deserved SO much better. Which is why this is my least favorite film of the series.

@mariadelta19 Yeahh we have a lot in common! :) So again I totally agree with you.. I also went to see that movie for his memories only! Just like you I didn't want to see him dying.... :( But in the same time I couldn't wait to see his memory... Fortunately I was at midnight premiere so there weren't so many children...cuz I hate chatting, talking and loughing children in the cinema! So I totally understant you and your reaction! :D

@nevs91 We have a lot in common! ;) Alan was amazing. You're right. I know! I went to see that movie for his memories only! As much as I didn't want to see him dying. It was the ONLY reason I went to see it, these scenes. And the cinema was filled with kids! They started chatting and talking and making a mess and I couldn't focus on the movie. When his memories scene started I stood from my seat and yelled SHUT IT! HAHA! My sister's expression; priceless.

@mariadelta19 I'm Polish and I also read Deathly Hallows in English because I couldn't wait for polish translation! Yeahh...move made it worse, more painfull, more real.... :( Alan Rickmas is absolutely perfect in this scene...and in all Prince's Tale... I also doubt there will ever be a time that I'll hear him saying "You have your mother's eyes" without collapsing... it's so heartbreaking... And I totally agree with you... his death was unecessary and stupid...and so painfull :(((

@nevs91 Ah good, at least I'm not alone. It doesn't sound crazy to me. I'm Greek. I read the last book in English because I couldn't wait for the translation. I remember re-reading the paragraph of his death over and over stubbornly sure that I misunderstood. Then I started crying. The movie made it worse. I doubt there will ever be a time that I'll hear him saying "You have your mother's eyes" without collapsing. Btw -- his death was unecessary and STUPID.:(

@mariadelta19 I totally understand you! I also still cry about his death after all these years since the book was out :( I'll think I'll be grieving his death forever as well :( His death was so heartbreaking.... Maybe it's rediculous and crazy... but I have exactly the same feelings...

Masz rację...jeśli chodzi o Severusa to HBP jest jedną z najlepszych części ( chociaż nic nie pobije jego mimiki z COS :D )
Ja też nigdy nie umiem się po polsku normlnie wypowiedzieć i znaleźć dobrych odpowiedników dla angielskich słów - więc nie jesteś sama xD

This is brilliant. I have only grown to appreciate this film more - even if some bits could have been done better (explaining what HBP means, maybe) it's Alan's performance that really makes it. Beautiful job! (And what is ridiculous about grieving for him?! And I'm 40!!)

I also have grown to appreciate this film more...of course some parts could have been better...but like you said : Alan's performance makes it really fantastic! He's perfect actor with phenomenal facial expressions ! I totally understand you ! For us it never be ridiculous! Cuz he is so important for us... For some people it's stupid but... I just don't care what they think ! :))))
