That's more like it. They used to cut down trees with those rounds.

@lskw1 I'd like to offer you some volunteers...they may complain at first but after those first couple rounds go through them they'll quiet down.

Hey,
Great job on the videos. Shoot wood, bricks, mud, or whatever you like. Youtube has to many keyboard commandos whom don't even own a gun or know how to do any leg work for bullet test! Nothing compares to human flesh or animal flesh; ballistic jelly only comes close. A little know fact the U.S. used real human bodies to test Lee Harvey Oswald's rifle and ammo.........

@bud1014 I think i remember hearing about that.. they used cadavours to crash test cars as well..

El Eskaydoubleyou, for what its worth, I think the variences in the wood is always going to f up your science, unless you do like five/ten shots with each to start getting an average, and even then, each bundle is going to vary, no? Maybe it's home made ballistic gel time.. Haha. I'm planning some jello and teddy bear tests soon.

@noBuzzkillin your absolutly right, i don't have the materials or really the time to do an average but that is the correct way..i watched fred heart do the gel and it looks like a total pain in the ass... i may have to try i don't know yet

@lskw1 You mean you cannot just use sawdust and jello? Actually, I've seen penetration tests with ice blocks as well. That might be a cheap and easy way to check it. It would at least eliminate some of the variables. Sure is cool of you to take any time at all to do this given what sounds like a very busy schedule. I just wish I had an open range that was easy to get to, so I could do shit like that.

@noBuzzkillin yea I hear ya.. the range part is easy i got that even tho i gotta drive about an hour to get to it but i work about 60+ hours a week so it does make it hard to plan and prepare for videos.. but im def gonna look into the gel and if i can swing it im going to do it..
