Yeah, so many of us live with this shit. I was so convinced I was an ugly bastard, and I wasn't ever. Insecurity of youth.

When I went to my 25th high school reunion, the ugly chicks were the hottest ones their. The beauty queens are ugly now. High school doesnt mean that is always the way you will look

We all can relate to this song. We all felt that we were out of place or trying to fit in. Thought that something was wrong with us at one time or another. At Seventeen by Janis Ian is one of the greatest songs of all time. Thanks Janis. Thanks for the post and the memories.

Im 58. I listen to this song and reflect . I had a fantastic time during my youth. It influenced my relationship with my children who are now 20 and 22. Oh those 1960s and 1970s summers. They were fantastic! The music was............! The crowd was ...............! Now Im overweight, bald and aged. Im taking the dog for a walk in the morning. Might have a spliff on the way round, lungs allowing. Far out man!
