Cat Bath War

We bathe Monkey maybe three or four times a year. This time we decided to abandon the tried and tested bath tub and give the kitchen sink a try.

It was a traumatic experience for all of us.

Please don't post any hate - we certainly won't be doing this ever again!!

Having said that, Monkey was incredibly soft and shiny after this torture. And he smelled very nice.

there is only one way to bath a cat, that I have learned, wrap a board with a towel, and place it in the tub for the cat to cling too, they hate not being able to get traction, and that really really makes a differance

OMG next time just get the foam catnip bath wash stuff that you dont even need water for, then you towel dry... and it's easier

there is catnip scented dry cat washing stuff!?? i shall investigate that one...!

having said that, monkey rubbed himself against my bike chain about two months ago and needed another bath... and he didn't even bat an eyelid this time! perhaps he was just in a bad mood cause we were filming!? ;)

There are certain times where it isn't healthy for a cat to clean itself. Like in this video, the can rubbed against a bike chain, getting grease all over it. Personally, I wouldn't want my cat to lick grease off of itself.

i wash my cats sometime after i take a bath, and the way i bag for forgiveness is a can each to them of my vinna sausages and they forgive me

Its not necessary to bath a cat, they wash themselves! Plus, this is very stressful for the animal.

I bath my cats at LEAST six times a month. it goes well for me, but they ARE show cats so I've been bathing them since they were VERY small. I'll have to try the traction thing though. I just hold my cat's by the scruff when I wash them it's very effective.
