Expert Village, where everyone is the village idiot

@drumcorpsgirl1991 Yeah, that's probably why his mallets are so beat up.
-
@drumcorpsgirl1991 I meant $103 not $130. lol. whoops.

If you were really a professional, you would know to never use timpani mallets on cymbals. Even if the composer calls for it. It ruins timpani mallets. & timpani mallets can get very expensive. For example, I just bought two pairs of Cloyd Duff mallets, and that was around $130. Yarn mallets are good... or invest in swizzle sticks.I bet you're the kind of guy that'd tell me to play on the bowl of a timpani too.. LOL Educate yourself before you try and teach others.

Did that rest of his ride cymbal get shoved up his ass?

Don't listen to this guy. NEVER play cymbals with timpani mallets, because it will damage your mallets. Even if a composer calls for timpani mallets to be used on a cymbal in a piece, you should substitute yarn mallets as much as possible. If you don't have yarn mallets, you can use rubber mallets, but those can get damaged too. Play cymbals with yarn mallets whenever possible, but NEVER use timpani mallets on cymbals.

Soft yarn, or cord mallets work much better because of their rubber cores.
