love Nicky's voice! This album should have made them HUGE!
-
I saw them live in Germany just after Bruce had left. My favourite back then was Vice Versa.... Nicky nailed it. WOW I was floored. Didin't imitate Bruce but growled it in a low bluesy voice..fantastic!
Both are great singers.

@PaulSamsonArchive Thank you very much! I will hunt these down now! I remember too Samson doing BBC 1 Radio Friday Rock Show sessions, jingles too years back (Are you ready for TV on the radioo???) ;) with the late, great Tommy Vance. I saw a cd of BBC sessions online WHILE BACK I think but not sure?

@Flote666 Where do you come from ? It was certainly well known to the general public in the uk.
-
@projiepaul Samson AND Angel Witch? Man, I would have shit my pants
-
Samson and Angel Witch was the first gig I saw- Samson had this line up. A few years later we used to see Paul fill in for the guitarist of English Rogues around Gillingham and he was so down to earth; talking about his volvo etc. That's rock n' roll, kids!!
-
This is my fav line up of Samson
-
I love Samson, but I just can't appreaciate Nicky Moore. I've really tried for almost 20 years. His voice is too "fat" for my taste. It's like hearing Van Morrison sing hard rock.
-
One of the best bands to come out of the UK. Paul Samson was a fantastic, but sadly under-rated guitarist. Nicky Moore was one of my favourite vocalists, from his early days with Hackensack, Megaton and Tiger, and I though he was far better than Bruce Bruce in Samson. "Thank You And Goodnight" is in my top 10 list of best live albums of all time. Paul Samson is sadly missed!
-
Very under rated band. I thought they were brilliant

ニッキームーアはもっと評価されていいと思う。

no, NWOBHM itself was underground, it had a cult following, a large cult following compared to other metal subgenres, but not well known to the general public whatsoever, i know alot more about NWOBHM than everyone i know that grew up during that era
-
In the UK they were at the forefront of the NWOBHM, so neither mainstream or underground. Maybe you had to be there at the time ?
-
@rideon77 yeah I love Bruce, his singing made history and influenced a lot in the metal music... Bruce is a vocalist, but... talking about VOICE Nicky is a SINGER!.
-
Nick rocks so much!
-
i think by that he means underground, they certainly werent mainstreem like metallica
-
Nicky is a far better singer than Mr Overrated Dickinson!
-
Unpopular???
-
too bad, they should have had WAAAY more recognition...
-
what a great singer
-
Sorry, Bruce does it better.... especially the na na na bit
-
Bad ass! Nicky destroys Bruce on this song!
-
i prefer samson without Bruce hehehehe, this way is more Rock'n Roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this band! Saw them supporting Blackfoot in 1982 and they were amazing. Are there any live recordings from that time available?

@Strokecity1 Hi, thanks for you kind comment.
If you look elsewhere on this channel there is a live video of Turn out The Lights from Dunstable on the Blackfoot tour.
There are 3 songs from the Mildenhall festival recorded a few months later now available on iTunes.
