This video was shot to reflect my feelings when spending time outdoors. Lots of relaxing, taking in the scenery, with sudden bursts of exciting bug activity interspersed. Title is a mix of the song used and the subject matter. Not particularly imaginative, but that's okay with me.
A short video I shot with no particular plan (it shows); just wandered around filming for an hour or so and threw together in about 2.5 hours. I'm a biologist, not an art student, so while I welcome criticism I'm not shooting to be the next Sergio Leone. All except one clip was filmed at Oxley Nature Center (Mohawk Park) in Tulsa on October 6, 2010. In the video is a barn spider (on web), black-and-yellow Arigope (bouncing on web), Leaf-footed bugs (feeding on dry thistle), Melanopus grasshoppers (mostly jumping), and honeybees (feeding/pollinating). Most often-seen plant is Goldenrod. Check out the Grasshopper's humorous behavior at 4:00!
Music is "Where Do You Go Home To" by Explosions in the Sky. I do not own this music, nor the rights to it.
Video was filmed using a Nikon D300s, Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 macro (broken A/F) and Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 lenses, and most shots using a tripod.
Fantastic. I love oxley also and have spent a lot of time there.
