  • where is this research based off of?

Being that this is an ancient art 1000's of years old

Did the founders look at old carving in stone of different wards/guards

Was there any ancient egyptian writings on this?

  • @NewZealfighter I'm not sure where it's from.

  • It real funny to me how the average know it all will never give credit to the race of beings that have been around since time immemorial. These people prefer to keep thing compartmentalized to make it easy for them to accept things, especially stereotypically. However one of the greatest martial artist ever, Mas Oyama said himself that all martial arts came out of africa (Egypt, and real Egyptians were black) and was then refined in there areas we know them to be from. Look it up.

  • Just because you are black doesn't make your martial arts African. C'mon man... They don't have hallways in tribal Africa (ancient Africa that is). The techniques you are showing are somewhat legit but you are missing the contextual premise of an attack(er). Have you been to Africa? C'mon man... keep it real.

  • This is another major reason how we were conquered in ancient days because of external devices such as canons, rifles, etc. Once these types of weapons came into existence we could be fought without having to engage us being the mightiest of warriors with extreme military tactics up-close. Everybody can run shit with some big ass guns, but when you lose them or run out of bullets are those same individuals talking the same shit? "I think not, LOL!!!" Much love people!!

Monto's Root is in africa and runs all through it. African tribes have many different forms of the art ranging from what people on the outside know as wrestling to things such as boxing and capo etc. All have different meanings behind them. It is not advertised like the other forms of combat but i think it is for the best. At least we can hold on to our culture for a bit longer before its taken and someone trys to say whites created out system.

  • @NewZealfighter

Yes the god of war was also based off of a person who was known for killing people and raping their corps on the battle field. something i would like my style not to be compared with.

Weapons are getting out of control and i think a big difference is in the past most people had to kill up close and this gave one the feeling of what one was doing. With just pulling a trigger it Dehumanizes people. Pulling a trigger is easy and no one ever has to think of what just occurred.

  • @DeathsFavorite1

I understand why you use the word monto/u

True be told I am not really sure if most unarmed style are Martial/Marshal being that Mars was the Roman God of War

even weapon work these days are tame compared to the weapons of war on that show "future weapons" and I see it is getting out of control

As a person that studies the "martial sciences" I wish to see myself as a protector then a warrior, a person of war.

I wish to be a freeman

What is the root of monto?

  • @NewZealfighter

You are semi correct. Monto/u is more the this particular style. Monto is the african way of fighting and like martial it has plenty of different styles inside of it.

Capoeira is a montu art not a martial one. Kute and Dumbe are also forms of it. The kemetic/egyptian art i am guessing was gathered from text on the walls.

  • @Aayan100

I am guessing North East section near egypt because I was watching a video before this one and it was there that there evidance of stone carvings or men standing in wards

Medieval reanactors and historic martial artists had to do the same thing, pretty much look at 500 year old manuals and drawing. So I repect thier plite and especially the guys doing the research into the montu system

However, studying the different wards on the stone wall can help more then most poeple think
