The way that I finish it is when you pull the pinky string onto the ring finger and then pull and then pull that string over onto the middle finger and pull over and then when you do that to all the fingers, cut the string and pull the loop off your finger and put the string through then pull. Your way was also easy but I find my way slightly easier.
